How to Access Arrabida's Beaches

Road access to the beaches of Serra da Arrábida is subject to specific rules during the bathing season.

The measures include the one-way traffic on EN 379-1 between Figueirinha tunnel and the access to  Creiro car park in the east / west direction from 09:00 am to 7:30 p.m., except for emergency vehicles, two-wheeled vehicles and authorized cars.

This limitation runs from June 10 to September 17.
Between July 1 and September 17, the restriction run every day, uninterrupted.

The bus company Transportes Sul Tejo (TST) provides public passenger transport from Secil's car park to Figueirinha beach and vice versa, often for 20 minutes between 09:00 and 7:30 pm.

Another measure imposed in the same period and time is the prohibition of movement in EN 379-1 of vehicles with more than 3500 kg and motor homes, between the Figueirinha tunnel and the turning area for the Creiro car park in the direction of the rising / west.

The plan also foresees the prohibition of automobile traffic from the Pilots' Building to Portinho da Arrábida from July 1 to August 31, from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, a limitation that does not apply to residents, merchants, emergency vehicles or two-wheeled vehicles duly authorized or others for taking and leaving passengers with special needs.
